Priyanka, a co-founder and physiotherapists at Energize Therapy completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology with Honours at the University of Toronto, and Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. Priyanka has over 5 years of experience working with all ages (paediatric to geriatric) in an acute-care hospital, Outpatient clinic and Paediatric Rehabilitation settings. She has extensive experience rehabilitating post-surgical conditions such as total joint replacements, tendon repairs, fractures, post-amputation, and paediatric conditions (i.e., cerebral palsy, torticollis, plagiocephaly). 
 
Priyanka has completed her Level 1 Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy course and has gained extensive experience in DMI therapy, Task Specific Electrical Stimulation, paediatric KinesioTaping. Priyanka’s therapeutic approach is evidence-based and adaptive, with a balanced focus on hands-on treatment and exercise programs. Her approach facilitates a safe return to normal daily activities, improved functioning, and enjoyment of a pain-free life. 
 
Outside of physiotherapy, Priyanka enjoys her time playing volleyball, running, traveling the world, and exploring new cuisines. She practices what she preaches and leads a very healthy and active lifestyle.

Asha, a co-founder and physiotherapist at Energize Therapy, completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto and her Master of Science in Physiotherapy in England from the University of Brighton. Asha has 5 years of combined experience working with a variety of conditions ranging from musculoskeletal, and neurological in both paediatrics and adults. 

 

As a certified PoNS© therapist, an innovative and technologically advanced therapy targeting balance and gait deficits, she focuses on postural deviations, gait retraining, and balance. With a keen interest in the maladaptive movement patterns, targeted gait training and strategies integration of balance and function, she is highly focused on regaining independent function. Her approach is primarily focused on symptom management to ensure the client can maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. By combining hands-on treatment with exercise-driven therapy, she aims to maximize the patient’s physical function to help live strong and pain-free lives.  

 

Applying her knowledge to her own lifestyle, she has become well versed in different fitness regimes and is dedicated to encouraging her patients to take an active role in their journey to recovery. She enjoys traveling, listening to podcasts, and making sure she is committed to an active lifestyle.
